Purchasing from a dealer in China via Chrono24?

Has anyone purchased a watch from a dealer in China, via Chrono24?

The dealer I am considering purchasing from has 41 reviews, with a rating of 4.6/5.0, including 3 completed transactions with U.S. buyers: https://www.chrono24.com/dealer/shanghaibona/index.htm.

14 of the reviews are for cancelled transactions, including two 1-star reviews where it appears that the dealer sold the watch to a different buyer, but it doesn't look like anyone ever received something other than was advertised.

What do you think? Are dealers in China generally trustworthy enough? The dealer does require bank transfer (no credit card), and for some reason doesn't offer Chrono24's escrow service, but I think Chrono24's general authenticity guarantee should still apply, right? Thanks for any tips!

I've never bought from this dealer but with only banktransfer I would be very reluctant to buy something from them. You dont have any protection at all. And I wish you good luck with starting a case in China.

By the way, they advertise with this:

"But we can help you apply a low value."

So this professional dealer advertises that he will commit VAT fraud by declaring a lower value.

I would stay away.

Nope.

just flush the money down the toilet, its less paperwork and you know exactly where your money went.

Thanks for the replies! For what it’s worth, I think in general the canceled transactions on Chrono 24 also include offers that simply weren’t accepted (so there really wasn’t a transaction). But either way, what about this dealer? https://www.chrono24.com/dealer/crazymetal/index.htm. Their rating is a little lower, but they do accept escrow, so they offer a 14 day money back guarantee. Or am I just playing with fire still?

Buy from an AD certain models will give a token discount. Very risky buying it in the alternative method

Update: since the second dealer at least offered escrow, and I felt like Chrono24's 14-day money-back guarantee gave me reasonable assurances, I decided to roll the dice, and I think it paid off! If anyone else if considering doing something similar, please feel free to reach out. Cheers,
