    Hi Guys.

I drop in every now and again but up until now I have been a Seiko collector and restorer. I popped into my local pawn shop and purchased this interesting Omega Geneve 136-011SP. From what I can tell the dial looks original and in great shape, the crystal is an original omega (can see the omega insignia under the loupe) and a bit crazed with age. The case is in really good condition. The crown is obviously not omega. The movement (Cal 613) is absolutely perfect, obviously in need of a service, but the condition is outstanding. I have been digging on the web for more information. I found the 136-011 which is a very similar Seamaster 600.

Specifically relating to the 136-011SP, there are a couple of references on the web like this one (which appear to be exactly the same including the dial:

Then there is this 'mint' one, which looks similar but the number indices are slightly different. Being mint, it may have undergone the omega treatment.

Then there is this re-dialed and over polished omega on ebay at the moment which appears to also be the same as mine including the same stamping on the caseback - 136.011SP

Anyway I would love to know more so any help would be much appreciated. Here are a bunch of photos to help you all out. Looking forward to what you have to say, good, bad or other!

Hi! Nice catch! Looks all good to me.

Here Is a bit further Information for you:

    http://naligazone.com/index.php/data-watch/omega/caliber-5/648

The caliber Is the correct one for this model, your serial number is also in the correct Range for that watch and movement.

    All seems good!

Try ofrei or eBay for a correct crown and you have a nice vintage Geneve there!

    Cheers,

    Max

Phew! I know Seiko's like the back of my hand, but I'm new to Omegas. It is a little beauty.

    Cheers,

Getting into the polywatch as I type. Found the crown at Ofrei (ST42056), its also stocked at Cousins UK where I normally buy my watch stuff. Out of curiosity, how do I find an Omega crystal for this (If I take that path)

    Thanks Al!
Turns out the a couple of the scratches are hairline cracks, so going to need a new crystal.

    Hi guys, just an update!
I finally rebuilt the watch. I did a full movement service and the only hickup was breaking an incabloc spring. Holy Moly they are pesky to refit. At least they are cheap to buy. Installed a new omega crystal, stem, crown and gasket.

I have to say it looks brilliant.

Thanks again for all the help.

Here are some snaps of the finished watch.
