Protecting your vintage medallion

Hi all,

New to posting, but been lurking for some time. I've decided to purchase a vintage Connie (haven't found 'the one' yet, but I'm on the hunt for 14393/4, 14900, 168.005/6 etc. pie pan with date function in 18k gold). I was thinking to myself how I'd be protecting the medallion on the case back when I start wearing it, as I'm planning on using it as a daily. I was thinking small band-aid similar to what you get after an injection.

Has anyone here got a better idea which is less obtrusive/obvious?

Thanks in advance 😀

Dom

No need to put anything on it- just be conscious of what you “plonk” it on when you take it off. If you wear it on a bracelet, don’t thunk it down. I put my watches back on their pillows or gently place them down on the dresser. The wear on your skin isn’t normally what wears down the back, it’s nylon straps, polishing by a watchmaker, and the repative thrashing it gets from years of bracelet clanking when taking it off
