I am looking for a vintage Proplof 600; some however have below the word "Seamaster" only written "600" and others "600m/ 2000 f" . The latter one has a little bit thicker Omega sign on the top than the one with only "600" mentioned.
Can you help me to identify the original first series watch ?
    Thanks in advance

Certainly, as @watchlovr states, the best place to start is at plorpof.com. I also love this OF post from @tomvox1 and have read it 20 times at least.

The short answer to the OP's question is that 600 on the middle line is the first version (mk1), 600 on the bottom line is an mk2, and 600/2000 is an mk3 (or possibly mk2.5 per Tom).

My personal opinion is that the most attractive dial is the mk2 as it is the deepest blue and comes with tritium lume, plus usually doesn't have the more corrosive degradation you often see in the mk1s. Of course, now that I have my beloved mk2, I find that I NEED an mk1 too. My advice is to look for an mk2 if you are only going to get one (and send all mk2s my way :D) or, if your going to get more than one, go for the mk1/mk2 in the best overall condition while realizing that a great mk1 is probably going to be the more difficult one to find.......depending on one's affinity for deep watch wabi.

I resurrect this thread to post a Mark 1. I am told by a friend it has been refinished and there is bubbling on the dial. Certainly doesn't seem much blue color is left. Too bad. I looked at several of their watches today. Most polished a little. :(
