@filip6969 - here's your chance to prove you aren't full of shit. We want photos of "Speedmaster #10" that you claim to have, replacement parts and all. Members of Omega Forums...... here's how this works: Make a reasonable request for one specific picture of filip6969's Speedy, asking him to set the time as you specify and place the watch next to an object we'd recognize. I'll start with an easy one. Please set your watch to 4:38 and place it on something with today's date, like a newspaper or even a calendar. Fulfill several post's requests and we'll believe you. Come back with excuses and you'll expose yourself as the troll we believe you to be.
Hold off on any further requests until our buddy takes care of mine. Then, subsequent requests can be made, each being answered until enough evidence is posted to decide if filip6969 is a troll or real.
I should have taken a screen shot. He had two threads erased - the first where he claimed to have the 10th Speedmaster ever produced (according to his watchmaker going by the serial number), the second where he asked what happened to his first thread. Both were deleted. I engaged him via PM and told him this is the only way we'll believe he isn't a bullshitting troll. On a TOTALLY unrelated side note, I wish the trolls would find some better material than making up vintage Speedy pranks.
Well, he's seen the thread and says he'll comply whenever he gets the watch back. Anyone wanna place bets on what tragic circumstance will soon happen to Speedy #10 that will prevent photographs? It can't be lost at sea in Boston Harbor because we all know Omegas get found there.
So if I understand well we are waiting for pics of a 2915-1 which appears to be the 10th speedmaster ever made.... Meaning that we already know the serial number of the number #1... Can someone give me that interesting data that I missed somewhere?
I'm sure @MSNWatch and @gemini4 have one or two each. Probably! There was another Speedmaster troll a year or so ago that told tall tales about a pre-Professional, but I just can't remember all the Speedy trolls screen names anymore. I guess if you're gonna troll ΩFs, it ain't gonna be about a Van Clef & Arpels.
Hello guys. As stated in deleted posts, watch has been in service for 5 months and counting... Was told it will be back in january, I interpret that as march. The reason for me asking here about this watch is that the serviceman told me it was number 10, didn´t actually count on all this hoopla. So, pictures in march hopefully. Fil, all you have to do to make us eat our words is respond correctly to a few requests in this thread. Unfortunately until then, no pictures = troll story. That's how internet forums work. If you post on a Porsche forum about your barn find 550 Spyder that you scoured the world to find correct parts to do a perfect restoration, you best have pictures and receipts showing the proper numbers.
