Hi, finally my project "X" watch is over. A month ago I bought all parts for my 145.012-67 SP and send it to watchmaker to get her to life. Today she went out and first time in this shape sparkeld in sunlight. I love it. It is the best watch I ever put on my hand.
Congrats! How long did it take to find all the parts? Was the caliber a single purchase or full disasmbled?
What was the reason of choosing something else than a drop end chrono hand? Your preference to the square end design or the drop end too difficult to source?
Not to long, it is just the matter how much are you willing to pay particular part. Mech.was in working condition unserviced.
Hands were part of a package deal. They are not new just repainted and relumed. I even didn't look for drop end hand because this model was made also with a square end design.
I'm not sure exactly which safety do you mean. Safety for speedy or the other safety but both are important.[emoji6] P.S. If it is speedy will talk about that!
great project, well done. project watches are a lot of fun and very satisfying to do: nothing better than to rescue an old watch or do some mods on a boring piece to give it new life.
Yeah, still looking for bracelet to complete it and then extract from omega. Then the story will be brought to the end.[emoji3] Now it is time for another project but don't know which one. I need omega diver so ploproof 600 will be fun to do or vintage Rolex submarine. One step at the time[emoji6]
