Welcome, Tough to tell given the scanty information you have provided about your watch. But Omega did use a lot of plastic date rings in their watches. The internal teeth of these rings chip as the plastic hardens. You are describing typical symptoms of this problem. Hard to tell without pulling the dial and checking the entire calendar mechanism. This is NOT something you should attempt!
