I think I'm going to get a Thos Priek caseback for my cal 321 1967 Speedy. But can't decide between polished or brushed finish.

Would any members like to post pics of their case backs to help me make this very subjective decision ? :p Maybe we could even turn this into a little reference thread

    thanks in advance !

I have to take some photos. My 2998 has shiny back of lugs so I opt for the shiny back, matches perfectly. This is opposite my early recommendation to Ashley for his 145.0012, that he get the satin finish.
You might go back an look at some of the early pre-moon threads here. Richard and others posted images of Priek backs on Speedys.

Its a 145.012 & I'm leaning towards the satin. The difficultly has been that its hard to know what case you're looking at in pics that only show the back of the case & where the case back is transparent !

Well as I said to Ash, you can order a satin on and then use a Cape Cod Cloth to hand polish it to the amount of reflectance you desire.

The bottom two are the polished finish, the meshy watch has the matte finish.

It looks good but as I'm only using an iPod camera it's hard to capture the true effect.

Looks good. From an esthetic perspective, you might want to procure two new correct matching case screws. ( picky I know :D )

Not really sure which ones you mean, but I will ask STS to deal with it when it goes in for a service!

These screws hold the movement into the case ring.
