18k gold Omega Seamaster bumper automatic, so understandably the asking price is higher given where gold prices are right now. That said, for the money, the watch shows quite a bit of wear. The movement looks fairly dirty and would clearly need a proper service.
The dial, however, is the standout feature - a very attractive waffle (honeycomb) dial that appears original, with consistent texture and well-matched. I guess that any dial can be retouched or restored. But I would suspect it's harder with a waffle style?. I'm so not sure about The Crown. Maybe after market?
This is really my favorite style of vintage watch.I love the bumpers.
Would appreciate any thoughts from those who’ve handled original examples

Well overpriced, IMO.

I'm a "gold bug", and believe that we will see higher values (per/oz) in the coming years, but setting that aside, the watch is not in nearly good enough condition to warrant that price. There isn't a single main component (i.e. dial, case, movement) that could honestly be represented as being in "very good" or better condition. The crown appears to be an incorrect replacement, and the (possibly intentional) over-exposed image of the dial is obscuring the extent of the dirtiness, etc.

I personally wouldn't consider the watch at more than melt value, and would place the seller on the "avoid in future" list.

I wish that the case hadn't been polished so much, but I do think the watch retains a lot of charm at the right price. I wouldn't personally consider it at anything near the asking price.

Case is probably not an Omega licensed case. The hallmark looks Argentine to me. Some of these were much thinner and lighter than equivalent Swiss cases.

Dial looks good, but is likely stained. This is a $1,200 to $1,500 watch masquerading as a $5,000 watch.
