·Ever wonder what would happen if Mad Men’s Roger Sterling and a ‘57 Chevy Bel Air had a watch baby??? Well wonder no longer, friends! The Cartier Roadster! An absolute design marvel, Cartier only produced this sweetness for 11 years. It’s been discontinued since 2012, I think it’s a sleeper in the Cartier lineup and extremely undervalued - simply gorgeous! Especially this iteration I'm happy to offer up, with the lesser seen tuxedo dial.

YEAR: Mid 2000s
DIAL: Absolutely incredible, the black/gray/silver tuxedo dial is stunning! You get all of the Cartier design history with some updated funk. In fantastic condition, with a whole lot of lume that still shines bright, all protected under sapphire crystal.
CASE: Stainless steel case measuring 37MM x 44MM, - talk about classic design meets modern sizing, this wears beautifully! A whole lot of presence on the wrist while still being classy (shown below on my 6.6 inch wrist.) Case is in really nice shape, light scratches and small nicks throughout, as expected, especially on a watch with this many polished curved lines (photos taken in bright natural light with a strong macro lens) presents beautifully on the wrist. (Apparently it was designed to look light the headlight of an old roaster - VERY cool!)
MOVEMENT: Service history unknown but the Cartier automatic is running beautifully, winding feels nice and smooth, quickset date working perfectly, and in my experience keeping time within about 8 seconds a day.
BRACELET: On its original Cartier bracelet, with polished outer links and brushed inner links - another beautiful design element. Also has light wear throughout, but also presents beautifully, great hidden butterfly clasp, will fit up to about a 7 inch wrist.
ACCESSORIES: Watch only.
PRICE: *$2895 which will include 2 day fully insured shipping through FedEx anywhere in the US. Face-to-face deal in the Los Angeles area is always welcome, with a small discount offered.
