    Hi!

Just a shot in the dark: I read some article, somewhere I can no longer find, related to preservation of the ever so fragile lume on vintage watch hands.
One suggestion was to apply a thin layer of glue/adhesive behind original lume infill of the hands.

Have anyone any advice or experience with this? At least one of my old chronographs have VERY fragile, but original, lume material that I would not want to see brake up.

I have done this before - I use the binder that comes with the lume powder for this. You would normally take the clear, colourless binder, and mix it with the lume powder to get the right consistency, and then apply to the hands to relume them. The lume is always applied to the back side of the hand, and to reinforce existing lume that is cracking or loose, I simply use the binder on it's own on the back of the hand.

    Cheers, Al
