    Hi Folks,

I was at my better half’s parents this evening and I was told about a “box of watches” which have been accumulated from various relatives over the years. Obviously I was intrigued and I thought I would share some of them with you! I do not know much about these, so if anyone does have any information please feel free to let me know! A couple have gold hallmarks. I think they are quite the mix!

There is also a terrible fake Rolex hidden in the box as well! I’m here for the next day so if you want any further photos let me know.

Also enjoy the scones being made in the background. I’m doing nothing to dispel British stereotypes here!

    Cheers!

I agree, this one and the Rone sportsman are my favourites! Dial is in lovely condition with the gold edge. I think it just needs a new crystal! I’m guessing it’s from the 40’s or 50’s but I will go away and try to do some reasearch!

I have a similar Oris (but older) out in a box of old watches that was from my grandfather's stuff. I'll post some pics of it later.

    *edit* Here it it:

I love the colour that’s turned with age, there is something very very exciting about a box of old unknown watches! Sadly no vintage Speedys in the one I was shown!

I did like the sort of cross between the 80's and the deco style, hence the photo. I know nothing about Sekonda's though!

I think this is a pretty nice box of vintage.

That Timex with the red second hand is the first watch I ever owned, given to me by my Gran when I was about 7. Stupidly I binned it when I moved out of the family home. :(
