·Precista PRS-93
The Precista PRS-93 Royal Navy divers watch, issued in a run of 300 watches and in the year 1993. It is assumed less than 30% of these watches survive making it one of the rarest issued military divers.
It is a fantastic design following the military specifications for Royal Navy diving watches. A big triangle at 12 O’clock on the Tritium ’T’ dial and 60 min uni directional bezel, and a screw down crown, with a hacking movement. A very robust looking asymmetrical case with fixed bars and the NATO stock number and issue numbers engraved onto the case back.
With, in all likelihood, less than 100 of these watches in existence, the appreciation for them and their value is on a steep curve. Perhaps a snobbery for quartz watches initially kept them off the radar, but as collectors understand the significance of rare quartz watches the values have started to readjust.
This example is in super condition and working perfectly.
The Dial
The Tritium dial is in lovely condition with a pleasing cream patina. The original hands match well
The Bezel
The bezel is unidirectional and operates smoothly, clickity click!
The Case
The case is in super condition with no dings or dents, it has fixed bars. The caseback is engraved clearly with stock number and issue number.
The Movement
The quartz movement is working well and hacking and setting as expected. The screw down crown works well.
The Price
£3750 plus p&p I am happy to send worldwide at cost with Fed Ex or UPS and it can be insured with Parcel Pro
