For sale is a lovely Heuer 404, also known as a Heuer 'Big Eyes'. This reference was only produced for a few years in the early 1960s, and this one has the serial 47685 between its 18mm lugs at 6. The Valjoux 23 movement was serviced in May '23 by Simon Freese, the remainder of the 12 month mechanical warranty will transfer with the sale. The service ticket will be included. The 34.5mm case is in good condition and appears unpolished. The pushers and crown are also original. The caseback is also original and is signed 'ED HEUER & Co'. The silver dial is original and all hour lumes are present. Each has aged with a lovely chestnut patina. Note the larger sub dials that give the nickname 'Big Eyes'. These are getting harder to find in nice condition and this one comes on a new blue rally strap as seen. Overall a vey nice example of classic Heuer circa 60 years of age. £2200 + shipping.
