Lets not let this thread turn into a repeat of the Paris thread. Thoughts for the families of the poor souls lost today....
Please, don't do that... All victims of terrorism are innocent, all deserve our prayers, no matter where or who they are or what beliefs they profess
One of my college buddies flew out of Brussels last night around midnight. He was lucky. Horrible tragedy.
Another sad day, terrible. We have some family there. Fortunately all are safe. My best wishes to all affected.
A city I've been to many times and that has a special place in my heart. Felt awful when I woke up and saw the news scroll across my phone. There's just no immediate solution and unfortunately, this appears to be the new normal. My thoughts are with the citizens of Brussels and especially with any forum members that live there / have family there.
As a frequent flyer and a daily commuter this gave me the shivers. It could happen anywhere any time, what a tragedy. These extremists need to stop.
Daughter is doing study abroad and is on spring break, knew she was in Amsterdam so no personal sweating other than the normal human reaction to senseless murder. Talked to her this morning to see if any of her group was there and she said no, Arkansas State had blacklisted it (ie. travel there on your free time you risk of being expelled from the program and sent home) because of terror threat. I had no idea there were such warnings about Brussels. Heard on the Today Show that there were 13 University of Missouri study abroad students there but all were safe. Feel extra pain for their parents and family even being safe. Damn tired of these events, don't care what motivates them, just want them stopped.
Prayers are not my thing, but a deep felt grief and sorrow on behalf of the innocent people that have been so utterly meaningless slaughtered and injured.
