·So I have a Seamaster Pro 2231.80. I had it returned from a complete service earlier this year and have recently noticed that the power reserve doesn’t last the customary 44 hours that the caliber 1120 states. Here’s the anecdotal info. First noticed when I would take the watch off to sleep, then the next day I would work in the yard, hit the gym or do some other activity where the watch would not be worn. I wouldn’t bother putting it back on as bedtime was near. The next morning it had stopped. Didn’t keep track of the hours, but it was less than 44. Over the past couple of days, I “tested” the watch by leaving it still until it stopped running. It lasted right at 30 hours. I don’t know if it was completely wound when I took it off, but it had been on my wrist for over 48 hours. I contacted my AD with this information and they said to bring it in and they would send it back to OMEGA. Easy enough, but I don’t want to do without it for yet another eight months. I figure that the 44 hour reserve is a “perfect world” number, so is the 30-ish hour that I experienced more “real world”.
