Who’s Movado is that? Gosh I miss mine.
Oh no, I forgot to take notes on which people came with which watch 😅. But it was super nice. I didn't realize there was steel inlay in the bezel - it looked great when it caught the light.

The worst parts of my day were realizing:

1) that I still need an EZM 1 even though I have the 1.1S.

2) I thought i was happy with a bunch of giant tool watch and Seikos...

... But seeing Connies all day made me realize I still really want a pie pan with dogleg lugs.

Of course, the best part of the day was just chatting with everyone. It was really great time with nice people, mosy of whom were deeply, absurdly knowledgeable about obscure brand histories and facts about movemens.

Yeah those early versions of the Subsea’s are so nice. Gerald Carr of Skylab-4 wore the blue dialed version in space. I prefer the earlier version with the non applied hour markers. Mine was slightly later at ‘71 and had the applied hour markers. It’s definitely a watch I want back…

Oh wait, were there watches there? I didn’t get a chance to move 10 feet from the front tables trying to keep everything on track. Seriously- other then Niko and George’s watches (because they were sitting next to me long enough to eat before they scurried off to play) I didn’t see shit! Except for ATWG’s flawless flight master- and when I say flawless, it’s not an exaggeration- it still has the purple goo all over the case. Radial and linear brushing on all sides- that’s how they are supposed to look. And I want one now, not as big a they seem in pics.

Yup! I have even talked to Dave about this one when it was originally listed, but, in this one instance, I’m not really a fan of the blue dial version, despite how cool its history is. 😬. I didn’t mean to, nor do I want to, hijack the thread. I’m excited to see all of the pics though!

I will say, from just what I was able to see tethered to the host table- this gathering was truly a cross-section of this forum. From novice new collectors to experienced collectors and several watchmakers. The collections were as diverse as the people there. From George’s first Swatch to NOS flightmasters, vintage Weems and Rolex- even a handful of Cartier tanks that had
my wife drooling.

This was no Redbar Rolex and Lambo event- the spectrum of horology was on display.

I saw it. I can confirm that it is indeed flawless and will leave you weak-kneed. However, it was camera shy so you'll have to attend next year to see it, as well as gbesq's stash of beauties.

Wonderful people who are even more interesting than their watches, which is saying alot. Unfortunately, I barely met one third of those attending, to my regret. It was an attention deficit overload.

I also enjoyed meeting the owner of Chronotek Inc, who has an office about 4 blocks from my sister's house. Small world. Super nice and a great watchmaker resource.

Unfortunately, no pictures, which is unusual for me. Like I said, overloaded my system.

Without Greg’s leadership, we forgot the traditional group photo 😩
I THOUGHT about that right after we pulled away.

I brought a mix of American Microbrands, to celebrate pearl harbor day, Omegas of course and a few others. I didn't take a single picture, I was too busy mingling and waiting for my chicken sando. 😂

I only took 2 photos as too busy talking and looking at great watches. It was a great event and really glad I joined it. I think Phil and Nico took a bunch of pictures from their Instagram posts. Hopefully they can share here as well.

Agree that flightmaster was a highlight.

My two pics which were with their pair - my watch and another attendee’s.
