Photo 1: my wife and I in 1986, in college ... we met in our senior year and got engaged. Didn't work out back then - we went our separate ways, married different people, I had kids, etc, etc.

Fast forward 26 years: I had gotten divorced, living in Michigan, and lo and behold, I get an email one day from my erstwhile fiancée. She's curious about whatever became of me, and it turns out that she's getting a divorce too ...

Photo 2: We finally did what we should have done, nearly 30 years later ... June 2015, Lewes, Delaware. And to top it off, she just moved from her job in DC to live in Michigan with me. I hope her pets get along with mine!

Some Recent posts have given rise to the above theme for a thread.
Post Pictures of you and significant other at your wedding, or commitment happening or if you chose just you and significant other during happy times. Years are optional 😁

I will be first to post as I am known for being bold and daring. 🙄

What are you doing wearing the exact hairstyle I had at my wedding!! I have to pull out a wedding photo.

Actually, we both did. Unbeknownst to one another, we each kept a secret treasure trove of our photos together from way back when ... My wife likes to say that we got away from each other, but never got over each other. I think that's about right 🙄

I'm not secure enough to post photos of my wedding but, in an effort to make this thread watch related, I'll post a photo from my daughter's wedding in May. You can clearly see the 14kt Omega G6518 cal 354 bumper auto, I gave her as a wedding gift. You can also see the Seiko Presage SARX019 I gave her husband.

Yes, I know what you're thinking...

So, before becoming a world famous international watch collector, I was indeed a male model.

This key chain do-hickey hangs off my bedside lamp - first and last thing I see most days (((no homo)))

Here's the photo that most accurately depicts the total seriousness my wife and I both have towards life.

October of 2010 - I was about 50lbs heavier than I am now (still have about 80 lbs to remove). Any guesses as to the watch? One hint - it isn't Swiss.

Is your wife Filipina?

She sure is. There are a surprising amount of watch collectors who are from the Philippines, or their wives are. We share a love of pork products.

Cool! If ever you find yourself here in Manila, let me know! I'll also introduce you to the local wine community 😀 (I'm not immersed in the watch community here)
