I would do just the hands.
Ihad the same dilema with a GMT that was in the same condition, the hands only relume was a great improvement.
Here are before and after pics.

My 165.014 acquired a few months ago from the original owners son.

Very nice 165.014 !! Do you know if a thin bezel with sword hands combination is a legitimate version or most likely a service version ? Not my watch..

Sword hands were not factory on the earlier 165.014, just the 165.024.

Just to caveat my reply. My view is that swords hands don’t belong on a .014 but there are some people who believe they may be correct for very late examples.

Great GMT! I have one with a black bezel too and love the low key nature of it. Was never going to touch the dial but I am thinking the hands are due to be filled in. Thanks!

1967, 165.024 inherited from my old
Man ( replaced the crown / tritium hands ( lume missing ) and my 1958 , ck2913-3 (patent pending) with it’s original naiad crown, inherited from early
Mornings and long hours on the tools ✊🏾😅
Managed to Sourc the Original Bakelite bezel from israel and it’s in very nice condition with no damage but missing the pip unfortunately , I have already one made for me and on route . My question is ..

Opting to chemically weld it on in order to not damage the Bakelite at all as I’ve read it can burn welding with heat . Any suggestions from the professors for a chemically fixing glue or someone who has achieved this before ? At the end of the day I can live without the pip mounted but it couldn’t hurt to try atleast 👍🏾

Photo shoot manager is named Butter 🤣

Going on 1 year of ownership with what instantly became my go-to watch. I think this might be the perfect vintage diver model. I’m using the original endlinks but with an uncle seiko bracelet (I didn’t have the heart to remove links from the original 1039).
