Just arrived: Longines 12.68ZS, ref. 6591, nearly untouched, even the spring bars...

A really outstanding case. And that red gasket is spotless.

I hope the gasket is the only part that doesn´t belong to the watch. Looks like related to the yellow gaskets which Omega put in some 60ties-watches - but was ten years too early (1955/56 - mvmt 9671195)...

This little Grand Prize has a 340 movement inside, and case ref is 2554. In the photos is wearing a blue (very dark grey, I would say, but the strap maker insists that it is blue) croco strap.

Posted this one back in January.

My watchmaker found a rose gold sub-second hand so we tried it on for size. Also went with a cognac strap that seems more "vintage;"

Love looking at everybody's nice watches. I started collecting Longines a while back after seeing some at garage sales and two at a local Goodwill. My favorite is a ratty 23Z with textured dial that my wife calls my "dirty" watch from dial discoloration. Have several 23Z in stainless and a few in 14K solid. 30L from Italy (Longines confirms movement sent to Binda in Italy). None of my watches are rare or particularly special, but I love them nonetheless. My watchmaker appreciate all the business I give him, although he hasn't helped me to find a case for a nice 23M with 24 mm square dial I got recently. Thanks!
The 23M seems to insist on loading upside down regardless of what the photo looks like on my computer. It has been a difficult movement thus far.

Felt the need for contrast today. Haven't worn the Citizen since my last dive, hence the date is 2 days off. Eco-Drive is solar, so needs charge every now and then, so wear it on occasion, although it really is most appropriate over a wet or drysuit. No-name 23Z with textured dial and "dirty" patina (according to my wife) on $10 mesh band from Amazon is my daily wearer.

Here's my 12.68z:

...and now on new leather:

more modern on the 'blue', esp. with the white stitch, but I like the change..
Love the look of the dial

Longines ref. 7035 Cal. 12.68Z - probably unpolished, nearly untouched movement. Could this be a redial?
