Finally got my watches back from repair. Here is the Soccer Timer, even figured out how to use macro on the camera. Seeing things I never knew were there..

It is the original as are the hands. Little bit of wear on them, never saw the texture on the dial before.. All the watch needed was a good clean and oil. He did buff the cyrstal. Now just have to decide what I'm going to do with it.

That would be the smart thing to do no doubt. The watch is 37 or 38 years old. It spent about 35 years of that in a drawer. That is most likely why the dial is in such good condition. I know that the odds of finding another in this condition are slim to none. I have read that the crystals are marked but not sure how to see that. The watch did get the crystal replaced once about 25 years ago on it's first service.

The crystal should have a small Omega sign etched in the middle, very difficult to see, but hold it in the light and look for it from the side.

With a bright lite, I was able to see the "Omega" it is really small and dead center. Thanks for that.

Nice to know it had an original crystal fitted.

Here are the other watches that came back home yesterday. Mu first "good" watch a Zodiac Sea Wolf from '72. The other is last of my "Navy watches" bought in Bahrain in'95 and worn hard for the last 15+ years until the crown would no longer screw down. All are back and running.

Love that bezel on the Zodiac. Did I mention before that it's one of the more popular and valuable options for that watch?

I really do not know, but the world "grail" keeps popping up from the Zodiac folks. I know that I have only even seen one other, a black dialed one with a different band. Told it is worth $1K.... Not bad for a $65 dollar watch bought 40 years ago.

Well it is an Omega.. I have seen a few of these, but really beat up. Told it is in the $1500 to $2K range, but do not really know. The beat up ones sold for around $1K. Thinking I should keep this one. Will get another beater watch for daily wear I guess.
