I have an old Omega Automatic that is missing the crown I want to get in an view the movement . I have seen a few videos where a syringe was used , I tried it myself with no luck and looking for help . Was wondering if on this model the bezel ring can be removed. Any help would be appreciated. I believe the watch to be authentic but also looking for input. Looks like the case back should come off which you would do with a combination of razor/case knife. You can see the steel case back as the rest of the case is gold cap. What makes you think it is a front loader? It is very easy to damage the case doing this so, a watchmaker would be the best idea.

Looks like a 50s Omega to me with a 330 or 500 series calibre. Hard to tell if the dial is original through that crystal but, it doesn't look hopeful.

Hey Chris , thanks for the input. There is not a discernible lip like most old watches that are snap back so I assumed it was a front open. I live in a rural area and the old watch guy that i had died. If I knew someone that I could trust with repairs and wouldn't charge an arm and a leg - that would make things much easier. I live in Wisconsin and when I did the find an Omega store/dealer locator , I do not believe that one came up . The closest was approx 150 miles away. The good thing is that the watch is running. I would like to sell it on ebay or even this site but without getting into the movement to show pics, not many people are going to bite.

It looks similar to this 2849 I sold last year but some obvious differences. The pictures might help you to see where the join is but it should be clear when you look at your watch in detail.

I'm in UK but sure someone here could recommend a local watchmaker if you can't open the case. I doubt you can sell here at the moment but on eBay, you don't necessarily need movement pictures.

Chris is right. It is a snap into place caseback. They take a little work, but with a sharp pen knife you can work it into the crack between the caseback and the case and it will start to move open.
