Hi OF, Looking for poor mans Carrera. Clebar, Hamilton, Zodiac preferred. Panda or inverse panda, stainless steel case is a must. Let me know! Thanks heaps Andre
Yes, very nice but not exactly what I'm looking for unfortunately. I'm also looking for stainless steel case only, no chrome. Thanks though!
@Dre could consider this one, though strictly speaking may not be correct style: https://www.reddit.com/r/Watchexchange/comments/6rzrnw/wts_1970s_hamilton_big_eye_chronograph/
Just an FYI, the "Carrera-style" is pretty unspecific since they came in so many case, hand and dial variations. Specifically four generations as outlined in this primer: https://www.calibre11.com/heuer-carrera-series-overview/ A few pics of what you're looking for would help immensely as the "poor man's" designation is so broad for an already wide swath of Heuer history. Heuer produced some "poor man Carrera's" themselves under their own brand, often with chrome-plated cases, but not always. Priced abundantly below a regular Carrera (around 2k€), but maybe more difficult to find... Think ref 3647
Daymn what a nice example that one! Thanks for the heads up guys! I'm currently in a process of negotiating for one of these poor mans Carrera since yesterday, will definitely be interested on the Clebar if this purchase falls through.
