Saw that one earlier and shook my head. Not only is it a lousy redial, his puffery is over the top.

"
I TOOK IT TO MY JEWLER TO HAVE HIM INSPECT IT , HE WAS AMAZED! HE SAID THE WATCH LOOKED AS IF IT WAS IN A TIME TUNNEL AND NEVER USED

"

WTF is a "time tunnel"????

Isn't it where Captain Koons kept Butch's father's watch?

On second thought, I think "time tunnel" is the orifice from whence that watch was produced.

Thus explains the appelation of the nom de plume "Poo-dee"

I guess I'm showing my age but "Time Tunnel" was a 1966/67 TV show about time travel.

Sorry guys, the sale may be fake but the watch shown is not a redial.

+1, dial is nice and uncommon. Do you think that the caseback has been rebrushed though?

Yes that is a shame, the script on the back would have been sharper if that was not done.

I can't figure this guy. The waffle watch I almost bought is still up (for a BIN of $1,500), with some story about having to take the first listing down because of the use of "NOS". But I'm still not sure about the other listing of that same watch with a different strap (he told me it wasn't the same watch, but it's impossible that there was two of them in that condition at the same time).

I get the feeling that he just may be a little off, and the watches are in fact legit. But based on my correspondence with him, I wouldn't want to put any money in his pocket even if the watch is fine, if that makes sense...

When someone is questionable, I offer to exchange phone numbers and personal information to discuss the watch(es) more formally. In this instance I was rebuffed and for me that's a big red flag so I for one will stay away even though this gold seamaster looks pretty nice and the dial is original and not a refinish.
