In general, case refinishing or polishing is frowned upon as it removes metal and therefore the factory finish. However, one of my speedys has some tiny corrosion spots between the lugs, presumably where the end links have been knocking for years on end.
Is it worth a very light polish between the lugs to get rid of these spots (they are very small) or being stainless, do they take so long to advance that it's better left in its original, unpolished condition?

unfortunately it's currently away for service so I can't post any pics.

if the spots ARE very tiny, you can
try penetrating oil allowed to stay on surface for
a good while, then use a toothpick to try and dislodge
the rust or a pen eraser. If that doesn't work
you can try some naval jelly.
    this stuff also works well

but of course none of these will remove any pitting
    the rust has done.

However there is no need for any of these if you have a fiberglass car. OK, maybe around the trim or fenders ;-)

Something tells me your frame and/or motor doesn't have any rust issues.
