Police recover watches stolen in Toronto

    It’s so awful there are people who would rather put their skills toward stealing than some other productive and valuable purpose.

    Following the link to the webpage of recovered items, I found it interesting that:

    1. The person taking photographs had less skill than 99% of people here.

    2. It would seem all high value items were offloaded before thieves were caught, or they were somehow “misplaced” from point of capture to point of cataloguing. Most items would appear to have more sentimental value than actual resale value.

    Agreed, they don’t look too serious in wanting to reunite owners with their property with those photos

    They probably aren't. The watches, to them, are evidence. And they probably figure most people who had them stolen already received insurance payouts, and may not be interested in paying back the insurance companies (probably figure most had values inflated for insurance purposes, like with jewelry).

    That sounds about right. Thankfully, I’ve never had to go through that. Funny enough, I’m just renewing me home insurance today.
