Wondering if any of you gentlemen with a UG sub can tell me if the dial has a gloss finish or not?
I have my eye on one but I'm suspicious of the laquer thickness.

Can you post a picture of the said watch please? FWIW, it's rare to see a repainted dial on a Sub so a picture will help.

 

Both of mine do not. But pictures will help.

 

This is the best I can do. As you can see the dial surface is shiny this is not the crystal.

 

No, the dial should be matte. The lighting is horrendous right now, but that's actually not all bad in this case. Hopefully this helps.

 

You'll have to do better than that. It looks as though there's light reflecting, possibly from a camera flash on that dial.

 

FWIW, it looks like matte finish to me. Not gloss.

No I don't have to do anything.
That is natural light reflecting off of the dial surface the big square is a sunny window.
