I was disappointed to miss out on this one yesterday at auction.

Condition looked great but it sold for 5,000 Euros plus 24% commission which seems high.

The only positive I can take is that it had the green bezel insert, which is my least favourite of those that I've seen on this model and I might have spent months looking for a replacement.

Did anyone here purchase it? 25032245c.jpg

Wow. Without the original bracelet even. Are these really worth anything like this kind of money?

I'd argue that they've been substantially undervalued for quite some time. Not commonly seen, great unique stylings, in-house automatic movement with micro rotor and high degree of finishing...all of that for less than a Tudor Sub.

Tudor Subs are above $8K USD?

I own a much nicer example of the Polerouter Sub that sold. Bought it years ago. Always thought it was something I appreciated but no one else cared about. Getting surprised by the market for all sorts of stuff I bought years ago. Much higher values than I would ever think of paying.

No no no, sorry, should've clarified. These generally sell in private transactions for between $3,250 and $4,000. I picked up both of mine for less than $3,500. That money would not even purchase a nice Tudor example.

Well, if anyone has a spare they are looking to sell, preferably with the asymmetric case and funky orange minute hand then you know where to come . . .
