I got this as part of a trade. The slate dial is beautiful (any blemishes seen are just reflections/crystal imperfections) and it comes on original strap and buckle.

The case back says gold filled but it looks steel. I presume that's just a trick of the light?

Pro: it’s a very clean and well-kept gold fill.
Con: it’s gold fill.

Ok, been almost a year since anyone has posted into this thread so I think it’s time for a bump. Happy to share my latest UG pick up, this cool (and I think fairly rare) Polerouter Date 869119/11. It’s got a wonderful matte-like blue dial, and pretty much original everything - lume on hands and dial, along with signed crystal and (big) crown, on Gay Freres bracelet with UC endlinks. Powered by Caliber 1-69, I’ve only had it for a few days, but seems to be keeping wonderful time. If you’re on Instagram and interested in seeing a quick video that really shows how the dial and steel markers really “pop,” you can find it at the link below. Gotta love vintage UG! 😀

My two black-dialled beauties:

very nice. on the SS case the light reflections look almost exactly like someone went crazy with the lume dots on the dial. I had to have a closer look to figure out what was going on 😲

Ha ha! So they do - pretty odd! Hopefully a daylight shot is more reassuring…

My newly restored ref. 204612 from 1963 with signed crystal and the big crown. Thanks for helping out with the crown, @Mazoue 😀

A gift for my 50th birthday a few weeks back.

Not quite as minty as the example in the book but I didn't want to complain 😉

Great rare bird ... I have been looking for a number of models and parts. However, it is all becoming a bit like looking for hen's teeth.
