Hi OF, I have been fortunate enough to have handled some nice Polerouters during my time of collecting vintage watches. Now, with this latest addition below, I feel like I've completed my Polarouter and Polerouter journey, I have been on the hunt for a nice steel Polarouter for ages, and most of the pieces that I've seen are gold plated or in a really bad condition (polished case/damaged dial). And just in these past 2 weeks alone, I missed out on 2 nice Polarouter, one is a double signed Polarouter from an eBay seller who cancelled the transaction after I paid for it, and another in this very forum (I blamed @Florent for posting the sale while I was away overseas ). But patience is a virtue indeed, and when it's meant to be, it's meant to be. I received this Polarouter today. The dial on the watch is just happens to be my favourite kind Polerouter dial, a tropical one. Below is the Polarouter together with my tropical cal 215 Polerouter patent pending movement, My first Polerouter, came from an OF member, and now belongs to another OF member, glad it stays in the family! My SAS issued Polerouter, still resides safely in my safe. A thread about this watch below, https://omegaforums.net/threads/polerouter-sas.39910/ Some other Polerouters that I have handled in the past, Some group shots, Hope you enjoy the thread! Thanks heaps to @marturx for lettting go the Polarouter to me, and to OF because none of this can happen without this forum! Best Andre
I always thought your watches should have a thread of their own, the quality is truly amazing and I don’t just mean those shown here, wow!
Thanks for sharing Dre. Your grey dial Polerouter Date is still having a great time with me, and I've caught a similar piece in blue dial haha.
As the fortunate new owner of your first, I salute your collecting acumen and persistence! Great collection.
Great collection and beautiful Polarouter! What a beautiful colour of the dial! Just wondering about the crosshair missing the lume plot at 3. Is it just the fraction of the watch glass or is it a bit offcenter ?
