PO Rubber Strap On Ploprof Clasp

Hi Guys.. I'm a newbie here, have dropped onto the site many times as an interested spectator though.

I just want to say hello & ask a bit of advice if available.

I recently purchased a new Ploprof & have ended up with an additional Ti Clasp. I love the micro adjustment on the clasp & think it would look funky on a rubber strap on my PO 2201.5000 42mm. However I would need a strap that is 20mm at lug & clasp end. Does anyone know where such a thing can be found.

Thanks in advance

Have you taken a cruise through Ofrei and looked to see if they have something?

so your looking at 20/20 which is somewhat easy to google...

On the other hand is your deployant a regular deployant, mesh style deployant, or Omega style deployant for the types of straps it uses?

Thanks for reply Foo2rama. I’ve never changed a strap. I think it is standard deployment type with spring bars. It is from a new Ploprof 1200. It is only because I ended up with the extra clasp & it has a micro adjustment (lacking on my PO) that I thought it could be a pretty cool look. I Have looked on lots of sites, but most only give you lug width, and looking at straps they normally look tapered. The few I’ve seen that do give a 20 x 20 dimension look nasty. Once again thanks for taking the time to reply.

Can you post more pictures of the clasp, especially the areas where a strap would attach to it? I believe the Omega rubber strap that is meant for this clasp has spring bars at the end to attach to the clasp, and that the strap has to be cut to fit. If so, the. I suspect only the Omega strap will work with it, and no other will. If you google ploprof rubber strap, you’ll find pictures of the strap I’m talking about.

@Jeeper thats the issue with 20x20. You need a taper for most straps to look right.

you might sell that one and get an 18 or 16 instead.

Thanks Donn Chambers. The clasp is in second photo next to PO. When I get the chance later I will photograph from underneath & post.

Found a video on YouTube that clearly shows that clasp with the rubber strap. afraid you are going to have to get the Omega strap - an aftermarket will not fit.

Some more photos

Wow that's one heck of an adjustable clasp. And here I thought the adjustable clasp I had installed on my watch had allot of options...

Foo2rama thanks for input. I have the original rubber strap for the Ploprof, that is never going to be an issue. I was trying to fit a Ploprof clasp to a standard SMP Planet Ocean 2201.50 with 20mm lug width. The Ploprof rubber strap is too wide at lug end.

Not sure if OP is still looking into this, but Bonetto Cinturini rubber straps will work. Spring bars on both ends, and you just swap out the deployant clasp that it comes with for the PloProf.

depending on your wrist length this may or may not work. For me, I wasn’t able to get it to fit right because there are a limited number of segments on the strap for you to cut in order to size (pre-formed spring bar holes), and I needed to shorten by one more on the 6 o’clock side, but this might work for you!
