    hi to all :)
I have two Seamaster De Ville from the same year or almost same, but they have different glass. The gold one is much nicer as it’s more rounded on the edge so gives better vision from the side plus makes the dial look wider. The SS is thicker and not much curved on the sides, I guess are different references of glass. Does any one knows the reference of the gold one as I would like change the one on the SS version.
It’s just bothering me or I’m not the only one.
I’m glad to hear your comments.
    Thanks

One or both is a replacement. Is my guess. The really tall one doesn’t look like one I’ve ever seen.

The really tall one may be a service replacement, but it's most likely Omega. Here are some shots of my Dad's watch, I know he had the crystal replaced but you can see the Omega symbol in the centre.

You need the case reference (inside the caseback) to identify the correct crystal. You can then search eBay and other sources for the crystal.

For example, for my Genève 166.2001, the correct crystal is Glass, Gold Ring, Omega PX5004.

thanks for your advice, when ever I do the next service to the watch I will check the case number and search for the proper glass.
    thanks a lot again
