Hello: Does anyone know since when Omega signs their plexi with an anagram? Is it normal for an Omega watch from the 1950s to have a signed plexi? Thank you very much.

Yes the Omega sign was on original crystals going back to early 1950's, the earlier ones had older narrower flat foot one, and later had rounder versions. But keep in mind that crystal replacements were common during life of a watch and not always replaced with Omega part.
My 2652 Constellation from 1952 has it, so does my 2639 from 1953, and so does Seamaster 2849 from 1957. Of course these could have been service replacements way back- but they all have the earlier style. So its impossible to know for sure.

here is an earlier thread discussing this has some photos.

Thank you very much for your response. I have a 2782 constellation without it.

Sometimes the old ones are hard to see with naked eye- have you looked with magnification? If not no worry it was replaced sometime down the road very common

Hello. It is true that the replacement of old plexi is frequent. In the next review I will put an original one. Regards
