Chanced on this while I was searching around.

Based on what I see from the pictures, everything seems to be authentic and non polished. However, would like a second opinion on this. As this is seldom listed for sale, any idea on what would be a good entry price for this?

    Bracelet is gold plated though.

    Thanks!

It has been polished, though not excessively IMO. The dial is a concern - 14xxx references oughtn't have "Officially Certified" on there.

Does that mean that some parts have been replaced ?

Pardon my question as I'm still new to omega vintage.

i have been doing some background / pre purchase research on pie pans, not sure about 18k models but these are the concerns I have:

    1. the letter "M" in chronometer and automatic are different. I believe it should be the fat M (like the M in automatic) font used for both
    2. I thought these diamond marker models had the bumper calibers in them not the no date 551. This is true for SS models, I am not sure about 18k models.

Dial itself looks quite accurate, looks legit IMO

"The dial is a concern - 14xxx references oughtn't have "Officially Certified" on there"

Could have been taken from a different watch

"1. the letter "M" in chronometer and automatic are different. I believe it should be the fat M (like the M in automatic) font used for both"

I'm quite shure I've seen that on other legit Constellations from a certain period as well, but I can't recall exactely

"2. I thought these diamond marker models had the bumper calibers in them not the no date 551. This is true for SS models, I am not sure about 18k models."

According to Desmonds list of Vertified Constellation calibers/reference number list 14381 with 551 movement is a legit setup

    VERY useful list

Curious what the specialists say to the OPs watch :)

Sorry you are wrong on both counts. Differing M's are the norm with these dials from this period and diamond or arrow head markers are seen on bumpers and 5xx series movements whether they be steel or gold. ( I think up to cal 561 )

I was PM'ed by a member who earlier had asked me about a 14.900 he was looking at - which had three lines of text. I gave that one the nod, but I still believe that this one is off. Those markers are - in my experience - seen on the earlier 14.900s and four digit references and therefore I believe that these should definitely be two-liners.

They also come with cal. 501/505 references.

I have seen a few 18k 14381/2 with script and font exactly like OP watch.
What I need is a close up of the dial to determine if it is original or redialed.
@ cristos71 you sold one like that ( in rose gold) did you?
