An “unadjusted” chronometer? Shouldn’t a 751 chronometer have 24 jewels. Methinks something just isn't right IMG_1834.jpeg .

I've seen this quite a lot. I think over the years watchmakers just used parts/bridges they had available and so it's not uncommon to see genuine movements, particularly 5xx series, with mismatched bridges, jewel counts etc.

You're right, it's certainly worth being aware of though.

You are spot on! this would give me a pass... these watches are not rare, so better wait for an all correct one.

Suspicious for sure. The dial and movement may not have gone into service at the same time and same place.

The brushed finish has been completely polished away, it looks terrible.
