    Hello,

This is my first post here.
My friend has unearthed some old watches which he used to sell from his jewellery shop in the late 70's / early 80's.
They have just had batteries installed in them (all mechanisms are untouched and no battery leaks etc..)
These are all the battery ones, he is going to be dropping me a further 10 automatic / manual wind watches soon (will post if you want).
Anyway, I would greatly appreciate any advice / valuations on these watches.
They are unworn, brand new (in the sense that they have never been used in anyway).
They have the stickers and Omega tags on them.

    Thanking you in advance.

Welcome to the Forums @Niv1978 !

Generally someones first post requesting alot of info is a tad frowned upon, some people feel that they are being used as a free resource to someone not going to give back to the community. Also note that if you want to sell or advertise these watches on the forums you need at least 200 posts, attempting to circumvent this is pretty frowned upon.

In general quartz watches are not that valuable, what might be nice is if some member could give a great location to look up info on quartz Omega's that can help identify them and then assist in pricing them. I do not know one off of the top of my head though.

That Seamaster is pretty interesting! If you really want to get people excited pictures of unworn mechanical watches from this period would really get people going.

Quartz is a pretty hard sell these days, especially the ladies and dressier gents watches. The black dial constellation should be quite easy to sell though, as will be the electronic. A quick eBay search should give approximate values.

The autos could be a lot more interesting...

Thank you for the response. thumb_IMG_0053_1024.jpg
I have lots of photos if you want me to post? I don't want to be "spamming" a forum with so many photos.

This watch was an interesting one, theres another oval one, but sadly the leather is perished and we are sourcing a new strap... I will post those photos - its a ladies watch.

Thank you again for the advice.
Ebay was a little daunting as the search only seems to offer newer versions of these models.
I've emailed a few dealers on Chrono etc.. and awaiting a response.

Here are some more watches for you to appreciate.

As all of these are period dress watches, they are pretty much unwanted in the general market. Had it been a cache of unused, automatic sports watches (think Speedmasters (!), Dynamics or Seamasters) or even automatic Constellations, you'd been swamped by personal messages by now - I'm guessing you haven't had many callers? For a dealer, there is little incentive to buy these, and if you want to make a little money of them, I'd probably be better to sell them of over a longer period of time with reasonably fixed prices instead of an auction setup, as there aren't many buyers out there.

Were are you located? It could be a good idea to research what market to sell them on. Perhaps an Eastern, rather than Western, platform could make sense?

The Seamaster, being in NOS condition, has interest to some collectors. The other ones, well, not worth much these days but, in the future, who knows? Trends come and go...

Yes the weird oval / egg one is definitely automatic.
I'm still fascinated by that Omega Electronic!

Waiting for the automatics also. But just looking at these, if anything the period correct bands are interesting. Looks like a couple may be alligator. Original buckles and such. Might fill a few wants or needs. Interesting to say the least.
