··Ash @ ΩFTwo guys did a great job reporting PMs from scammers trying to respond to their WTB listings and after review we were able to remove those scammers, they often will PM people out of the blue and often do some or all of the following:
* Offer a phone / WhatsApp / email and not want to use Omegaforums PMs
* Happen to have a perfect example of an obscure part of product that you need at a very reasonable price
* Want payment by a bank wire, crypto, western union, or something else that is not buyer-protecting
* No post history or feedback
* Link you to another person, email, or website that has the thing you want
* Have references by email address, rather than username on Omegaforums or another well known watch site (WUS/TRF/TZ etc)
There is a report button in PMs, or you can screen shot and PM to myself or other mod team members and we can look into it, in many cases we can check it out and if nothing seems odd we’ll let you know. If its someone dodgy it could save you a whole lot of money though and help / protect others so don’t hesitate.
Also remember, legit guys do not mind being asked for references as they have plenty of them and an army of mates ready to vouch for them, its not offensive to ever ask or make a confidential report to us of anything suspicious.
