Three dodgy supposedly '18k' Connies in one auction - This must be some kind of record. These Connies popped up in my alerts today -all to be found at MBA Seattle Auction. Classic fake Dials and all with the classic fake 163.001 reference number. At least one has a Connie movt but the other two have non-chronometer movt. A Desmond link from the past on the subject: https://omegaforums.net/threads/a-fake-163-001-constellation.6268/ Anyone residing in the North West of the US might want to drop the auction house a friendly note. LOL reportttttttttttt
According to the seller, it's also a GMT and from 2010 to present year. Oh, also a Cal 321. Description says 1920 which is correct for the pocket watch movement inside. Somebody has bid the $1200 already?

I got this from my friend, I already know the bezel is fake, but no idea about the dial, could someone tell me? Thank you so much!
Some people have already suggested it's a "redial" implying the dial has been dramatically refurbished or replaced. Typically this happens in the course of routine maintenance. This is not the same thing as a "fake" necessarily. Some would call it a "Frankenstein Watch". It's collectible value would be much lower than if the dial was fully original. Occasionally an unscrupulous dealer will replace a dial and offer the watch for sale as fully original. If the seller made incredible promises and your friend paid a lot of money, he might have been ripped off. If the seller made no such promise, or if the watch was sold inexpensively, it would not fall under the subject of this thread. The thread (as I understood it) was principally for warning would-be buyers of bad sellers and their wares. If you're not here to warn us from a shoddy 2nd hand dealer in your area, perhaps you should make a new thread (or better still: ask in one of the threads you made before).
