Ahhh f*k sakes... cant believe some people with high feedback/ rating are selling fakes! that was one thing I was relying on ::facepalm1::

OK - Question - I don't buy on E-Bay. The one time I did, I bought a franken space view that thankfully my wife enjoys wearing. (This was before I became an educated buyer) How are sellers accumulating positive feedback if they are selling fakes and franken?

People don't know or don't care they've bought fakes. I do not believe in the saying "buy the seller". Doing your homework is the best way to keep from getting burned.

I've not only reported that one, I've messaged the seller informing him it's not only a fake but a very poor one at that.
No reply, of course.

I only ask because E Lady has very good online reviews and I've been close to buying a few things from her.

Is this a fake or a Frankenstein?

This is pretty disappointing - genuinely thought she was one of the eBay 'good guys' 🙁

If a 14900/02 or 167 is on offer the first thing to look for is -is it a fake?

the first alert - wrong movement
Then T on the dial
So it could be a redial or frankenwatch?

This picture makes it look better than it is - check the link for more pics - the correct facets are missing from the bezel, lugs and case

So - Wrong bezel, case, crown, dial
Poor medallion and stamping inside the case - even though it has purlaging inside
Check Desmond's site if you're interested in Connies -for details of fakes

I've seen plenty of watches on eLady that are correct -if not perfect collectors specimens
Just not this one

It doesn't really... I'm still unclear if it's a fake or franken? If it's a franken , redialed and or just a crap watch it shouldn't be in this thread and elady is in the clear.

It's a fake Connie
-so I think it qualifies for this thread
- with an incorrect Omega movement which they often have
(Tbh I didn't check the 552 for correctness)

It's back. 3rd time is a charm? Not sure why my complaints to ebay can't get rid of this thing. Pawn shop selling it so they know better. Please help to remove this abortion.
