Why is the sr# on the black watch's movement unreadable?

Good point. I wasn't sure if it was purposely obscured or carved by an untrained monkey; I chose he former.

Still learning and am possibly incorrect but I don't think they're fake but both appear to be redials. The description of the black dial says as much and the "Automatic" and "Swiss Made" on the lighter dial look off, to me. The black dial also looks to have been polish because of the smoothed edges of the lugs. How did I do?

The silver dialed Deville is clearly marked as a redial by the seller.

Your observation was 100% correct. I saw that ad and looked at it closely because I own the same watch.....minus the redial. Still amazed at what people will pay for a redial when you can get original for not much more.

Checks off nearly all the boxes. "OMEGA" written on by Sharpie. "Antimagnetic" on the dial. Stamped on outside of case back. Hour hand too long. Second hand too short. If this isn't enough what else did I miss

This is one of the early copies (mid to late '70s). Not one part of this watch is close to any Omega. Manual wind 1 jewel movement inside. Cheapie cheapie.

Looking at the rest of their items for sale - lots of second hand shoes 🤮- I suspect that the sum of their knowledge extends to recognising that it is a watch.

Just a heads up... this is the same guy that has recently been posting fake listings on watchnet. Looks like since watchnet's deleting everything he posts, he's turned to the bay. Steer clear!
