Set a complicated unique password in ebay that isn’t shared with any other site or application and use two factor authentication, that’s the best approach

I hate scammers with all my heart....

My "best friend" got me into vintage watches.
And he ripped me off on my first few purchases.
I didn't do my research because I trusted him and he reassured me that I was getting a "friend price"

Needless to say, I was very naive and this got me to be more cautious in life in general.
