That’s a beautiful late Rainbow, 1997 or later.

I'm certainly not a Zenith expert but I believe 97 was around the earliest release of this particular model (FAF) and it is still produced today
within the Stratos line up? Happy to be educated-

What you have there is a Rainbow El Primero Flyback, developed for the French airforce in 1995. The army saw their budget evaporated and the tender got cancelled same year. So Zenith brought this updated Rainbow to Basel, together with a black and white Flyback version. Production was from 1997 to 2000. The original Rainbow El Primero goes back to 1992. Those were no Flybacks but existed in several colors and materials.

1972 Zenith Sporto bought at auction last week. Seems hardly worn. Came with the original strap which I’ve swapped to a brown leather Hirsch which is a bit nicer and more comfortable.

Another same Zenith in 18k love the dial !
Beautiful watch - what movement is in this one? I couldn't quite read the numbers under the regulator.

Here is my similar case 1960's stainless with a manual 2542.

Just arrived, 1970s Zenith Defy Surf. On a temporary strap until I find a 21mm strap or bracelet that suits it (ideas gratefully received).

Thanks. I will do it as soon as I will have the watch back. Think it’s mk2 or mk3.
It's an MK3. Not because case number but the star on the case back.
