    Hi everyone,

I just impulsively bought this watch automatic (18kt gold, 1950-60s)

Yet, i'm not sure it is a real one ; I can't find anything similar on the net .

    Could someone help me?

    Many many thanks

I don't know how to remove the back to see the mechanism . (If someone know how we do i would be really grateful)

The movement is mechanic, there is a 18k written on the back.

The chronometer works well (top button to start and stop) and the bottom button to reset the chronometer .

Thank you for replying so quick

Case back marked like this is not an Omega case, not a good sign, dial markings are typical of any number of generic 40s/50s budget chronographs. I'd be surprised to find an Omega movement inside.

I thought Omega never printed "anitmagnetic" on any of their dials?

French market case? Any external hallmarks on the case?

Yes, better photos needed, but I do not like the (crude) look of the numbers on the sub-dials.

There are some older dials marked "Non-Magnetic".

Automatic? As in, it winds itself? I’d be very surprised, but I suppose it could be.

Ditto. And I don't think they put the jewel count on the dial, may be wrong about that though.

I can't really see much Omega DNA there.

Not a French cased Omega for sure. Rather a South American or any other non Swiss case without real identity...

I agree it does not look promising!

Not a 2872 with those pointy lugs.
    Lugs should look like this.

I feel like the Omega logo is really not printed right. Especially the spacing between the M & E in Omega seems bizarre?

Isnt this just a version of a Chronographe Suisse with Omega printed on the dial?
