Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me. When my dad passed away my mum gave me his 1977 Omega Speedmaster quartz. My dad had worn this watch every day and has seen better days and am trying to restore it but am finding getting the few parts it needs difficult. I'm looking for a new crystal and 4 pushers and if anyone could point me in the right direction i would be most grateful. I have added a picture of the watch model to help narrow things down.

For case parts you'll need the case/model reference #, probably on inside of case back. Cousins in the UK or Otto Frei in the US would be starting point for parts. I do not know anyone that specializes in quartz/digital restoration...hopefully watch is functioning properly. (Crystal doesn't look bad from picture.) Good luck with the restoration!

"I've added a picture of the watch model"

I think this is a stock pic, the OPs watch is obviously not this pristine.

Hi People thank you so much for your response, yeah sorry I did mean to say that this was a stock picture as with a busy job and a 8 week old baby time is in short supply. The watch is missing one pusher but the other pushers are a little rough so thought i would just replace them too and as you can see the crystal is in the best condition as you can see from these pictures. I've tried various Omega service centers but not very helpful and a quote of between £600 and £1000 to restore it is a little pricey!

It's going to be some money, I expect, but there are less expensive options than Omega. I'm sure some others will have recommendations for options in the UK.

Nice to have a piece your Dad obviously loved. Good luck getting it sorted!

Thank you for your response. I have contacted both Cousins and Otto Frei and am just waiting for them to get back to me (Hopefully with good news). Will keep you updated though and thank you again.

Thank you, if need be I'll just have to pay Omega what they want if I hit a dead end because to me this watch is priceless but fingers crossed I get some good results.

I would have the missing pusher replaced and stop there. The watch has so much family history you don't won't to lose that by replacing the crystal if it not required .wear it as your dad did and enjoy the watch .

The 1860009 case is available as a whole case (not cheap). Oddly enough they don't show the crystal as being available as an individual part, but the pushers etc. are available.

    Cheers, Al

Even more oddly, Al, Cousins do list the crystal, although at some considerable cost.

Seems like there are 2 different pushers.

To the Original Poster, I doubt you'll ever get a reply from Cousins but, you or your watchmaker, can just order these parts on the web. But, check the case number fist and see if this is the correct crystal:

Thanks Chris - odd that Omega show the crystal as not available, but they have the whole case including the crystal. I'm guessing that whatever Cousins or the other suppliers have are old stock, so get it while you can OP!!

    Cheers, Al

    Evening all

Sorry off the radar last couple of days, OK, it doesnt need a service if it's working, it's solid state tec so it's not go lots of parts to strip down. Send it down to STS and ask them to quote for case and bracelet refinish and new crystal and pushers, it certainly wont be £600

Might want to drop watchco a speculative email too as the BCT looks a bit tired and I know they have NOS ones tucked away

PM me if you need any advice, I am in the UK

    Thanks Tom
