    Hi all,

Can you guys give some help to determine whether this is a good Constellation?
I'm looking into buying it and I would appreciate your advice on its condition once I'm not an adept in the very intricated Omega art. Your observations would certainly help to increase my knowledge in the Omega trade.

    Thank you.

Depends on what you are looking for in a watch. It'll never be a collector's item due to the heavy-handed polishing (look at how the bezel/caseback/lugs have lost their crispness), and the crown is an incorrect replacement. If it's cheap (it has to be cheap!) and you like the looks of it, you could well have a watch to enjoy for years to come :)

Not much help on pricing, but I'd guess it'll be worth... €300? Probably less. Very few people here would be interested.

    Hi J
    It's likely a later 60s Connie
    564 movement
    Gold cap
    As noted quite heavily polished
Round case style but with visible crown
Looks like some rubbing from the rotor
    Quite well worn medallion
From the pics I'm not convinced it's not a redial

Not sure what your budget is but there are much nicer watches out there
    Hope that helps

@jmarcelo I've seen this add on MercadoLivre (you're Brazilian, I assume?). The seller has a number of other Omegas for sale, and most of them are either clear redials or terrible frankens. I'd stay away.

@dantaspaulo, Hi man! Yes, I'm from Rio. After gaining some wisdom from this wonderful Forum, I've become more critical of my choices.
However, I'm aware there is way more mileage to cover on the Omega road.
Anyway, I never made a bid on this particular watch after all. I bought another piece from a different seller since then, but this time one that I'm more happy with. May I have your opinion on it?

@jmarcelo the second watch is a very good buy at USD300, especially considering the the lack of good choice we have in Brazil. Well done!

I'll say that your second choice is quite an improvement on the first - a good example of what a bit of patience and willingness to listen to sound advice can mean
