    Hi guys!

First of all, I am a Swede so I applogise if my english isn't the best...

Just picked up this skin diver from a local pawn shop for 300 eur. I just fell in love with the combination of skin diver with steel bezel and a black glossy (yes it is under the crystal ;) ) dial and the broad arrow hand set.

Then I looked on the case back and reallised that it has three crown wich implies that it was issued for the Swedish military.

Can someone confirm that it was issued?

I have looked a bit on the Web for similar watches and find a range of slightly different dials but none with the exact same dial. Can this be because it was made slightly different because it was issued? I cannot see any signs of redial or alike..

I have never owned an issued watch and know NOTHING about military watches in general, and this in particular.

Any info would be very much appreciated! :)

I obviously need to replace the crystal (crack at 9). Is it bad for the value (which I assume is low anyways) if I just replace it with a generic divers plexi crystal?

    Thanks OF for the space!

Mikrolisk records "Marc Nicolet" as a wordmark of Montres Marc Nicolet & Cie. SA, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland; registered on 11.6.1951. I've seen other dive watch examples, such as this one:

    (thanks)

ETA 2472 - generally a good movement. Used in lotsa of watches in this era - I've serviced a bunch in original Doxa divers from that time.

    Congrats!

    Hi guys!
Would claim that the provinience is pretty much confirmed now.... A guy at the Swedish watch forum work in the military and visited their watch maker. He had a couple of Marc Nicolets in his workshop. Two of them looks identical exept the hands.

The model was bought as test watches.

Also a colleague that know a lot of old guys in the military asked them and they confirmed that the crowns on the case back definately was from the military.

It is now serviced and looks great imho :)

Does anyone dare to guess the value?
    500eur? 1keur? More?
