    I was offered this nice Longines, big size (37mm) manual winding. I have no reference and would like to know much more as year and model, and also if it looks original, as I presume.

    The dial has been refinished. The SWISS MADE is too high and way too far apart.

    I did not notice it I see the swiss made in the same open and high in other old models.

    You see it so often because there are so many redials. :(

    And 95% of those are redials also. It requires additional labor to get the printing in the right position, so most redialling firms don't bother.

    Just keep asking here. One or two decent pictures is all we need to see in most cases. If the watch passes the dial test, then we move on to the internals.
