While I'm on the work trip to Southeast asia, I found a seller who try to sell this polerouter for 800$. I didn't see him in person, but he can post (for 20$) it to where I lodge during the trip. (I have about a couple of days to decide)

    As long as I saw:
    - replaced crown
    - replaced hands
    - patinated dial
    - rusty movement (especially rotor)

Considering soaring recent price on polerouter, I think it's kinda on-the-fence deal to consider... (Or is it just me being too obsessed with a 'limited time' deal?)

I'd say for that price it's too expensive for what is more or less a parts watch. Finding a correct hand, getting it serviced, and getting a crown (if available) will put you in about the same (if not more) money for a nice serviced example. The caseback does look good though unsure if it should be the Polerouter Globe logo.

    How about this then?

    850$
    - replaced crown
    - movement losing its chrome platings

Sorry for being annoying.... But I think I need to relieve my fever :p

That movement is a train wreck! You could find an excellent conditioned one for the money you would spend getting the one above repaired.

Agreed with those that have weighed in, by the time you put the money required for either of these, you’re at the price you’d pay for a few listed on the forum.

The pictures aren’t great but to my eyes on this tiny phone, the crystals on both examples look like replacements too.

Yes, crystals are replacements but , imo, that is the smallest problem on both watches...

Wowzaa! The movement shot for the second piece is horrendous!
Not to mention genuine polerouter crowns are increasingly difficult to come by and pricey too.
It'll be less of a hassle (and perhaps cheaper) to get one in a better condition.
