    Hi All

I believe these both watches are the replica Versions with 1861 movement. Requesting the expert members of the group to reconfirm the same. As I don't have much idea about this and it doesn't have the original warranty card.

    Replicas with 1861’s?

    Tell me more.

Why do you think they are fakes?

Ya I replicas of the first models I guess. But I don't think they are fake. Do you think they have been tampered with or original parts changed?

I think OP simply is referring to the watches (3594.50 I assume) as the Replica '57, instead of the more popularly used term Reissue '57. I think in fact omega describes them as the Replica models.

Wow, thank you Ray for your judgemental comment. Didnt realize genuine questions are considered Postfarm. Was told by a few members to ignore comments and I believe that is what i am going to do.

It just amazes me you create so many posts with so many watches and all related but you told us that you know nothing about what you have in your bag. Perhaps you can tell us how you got them in the first place.

Now that is a question i like :)

I do have alot of omegas, around 20 i guess, may be more. My grandfather is a big fan of Omegas, that is where my interest in omega comes from. the watches that you saw in my previous post were all handed over to me by my grandfather therefore i dont have any idea about those watches. The above watches are my dads watches. He is also an enthusiast but not a big fan as my grandfather. I am just 30 years old, i havent bought many watches. Apart from the above I have:

    seamster quartz 300M
    seamaster chronograph professional
Omega triple date MK - 40
    Speedmaster reduced
    few constellations (two tones)
    deville small seconds.

In our part of the world, what is owned by my grandfather is owned by me, so that should clear your doubts on how i got them from.

    This is my story! :)

Didn’t the 1957 broad arrow watch come with a DON bezel?

Apologies - I saw the speedy on the cover of the MWO book and assumed the 57s had the DON bezel. Still waiting for my book to arrive :(

The watches on the cover of both versions of MWO are original vintage Speedmasters. The bezels on the ‘Replica’ model launched rather more recently in the 90s have DNN base 1000 bezels which are actually wider than the originals fitted to the 2915 model. Only with the recent 70th anniversary Speedmaster have Omega used a more accurate DON base 1000 bezel design. Here is another example of a DNN base 1000, this time a 3313 movement model:

    @AJwala
Indeed the term Replica was used for the Speedmaster ST 145.0222 produced from 1998 to 2003, PIC code is 3594.50
Hint: try to get the Moonwatch Only hardcover book, preferably the 2017 version, which can be found for about Euro 60.00 in 2nd hand book stores

Ya, They did use the word Replica and aparantly it gave a negative connotation. But i dont know what happened after that.
Thank you so much for the info. Will definitely keep an eye out for the moonwatch book.
