Nice one Al. Saved in my harddisk for reference.

The $5k mark seems to be pretty common for these pieces. Damn.
If you are buying for your own enjoyment, I will say that is a reasonable price. But if you're buying it to sell it on for a profit, you'll probably have to own it for a while.

Agree with many of the above sentiments - I think this is a clear case of buying it if you like it, and not worrying about the rest. Certainly don't buy it just to flip.If you are asking that many questions about whether it's worth it for you, that tells me you are not that much in love with it, and should probably pass. Full disclosure though, I really like this watch. I was very close to buying one on EBay a month ago (may have been this re-list actually) but ended up buying a memovox to satisfy my JLC itch... Anyway, lovely watch.

Thank you for all the replies.

I have taken everyone's' words into consideration, and I have come to the conclusion that I'm going to pass on this watch.

It's a really neat piece, but Traveler is right. It's more of a to-own watch, not a to-flip watch. I'd rather it go directly to the home of a collector who will treasure and appreciate it rather than just try to flip it!

Thanks again for all the input. You guys have been a huge help 😀

16,800 Eur seems way too high for this piece. I saw a very similar set sell for 7.5ish. How could it have sold for this much?!

It was sold on Antiquorum. It must be worth more than a watch sold on a shady web forum.
